European leaders are preparing for war. A vast armament program is underway. And those who will be asked to pay the price for their weapons are the working class, through taxes, cuts to our social benefits, the decline of our standard of living, with our sweat and our blood. Therefore, militants, trade unionists, and democrats from all over Europe are issuing this call to unite against war and military spending, and to reject the demand of European governments to support their brutal and destructive policies in the name of a so-called 'national unity.' It is false patriotism. These wars are not ours. We will not pay for them! We will not die for them!
