Still sealed original 2002 Frontiers release

Slav Simanic, the talented Yugoslavianborn guitarist currently residing in Canada, debuted in 1998 withthe predominantly instrumental hard rock release Water Of Life thenreturned with the sophomore effort entitled Let It Gom in 2002,that, while featuring more variety musically when compared to itspredecessor, moves mostly in an upbeat melodic hard rock direction.A wonderfully gifted musician, Simanic showcases his talent best onthe albums instrumental tracks, his fast fingered playing bringingto mind the likes of Carl Johan Grimmark (Narnia), Rex Carroll(Whitecross) and Joe Satriani. On the other hand, the material thatfeatures Phil Naro on lead vocals often can comes across on therestrained side in that Simanic does not always cut loose andextend the length of his lead guitar work as best that he could. Itis worth pointing out that Simanic has chosen a very capablevocalist in Naro who brings out the best in the project with a finemelodic flavored voice. Let It Go stands out with a bright andsharp sounding production job. A crisp rhythm guitar and clean mixof lead guitar complements a rhythm section providing the neededpunch and power.
