Italiandeath doom metal act Into Darkness started back in 2011 and sincethen released a decent amount of small releases (demos, splits andEP’s). Their 2023 EP, Cassini-Huygens, was written and performed byDoomed Warrior Giulia all by herself. This girl is heavilyinfluenced by Dutch doom death giants such as Souldburn, Asphyx,Pentacle and Mystic Charm. The band is evoking cosmic death horrorsbut should not be compared to sci-fi death act Blood Incantation asthey sound nothing alike. This sounds far more old school andGuilia vocals sound more venomous and pissed off than ever, thistime backed by Darak’s auxiliary hateful screams. It may have taken5 years for this EP to be released but it proves that Guilia’smission is far from over. Unearthling death metal that will takeyou to Saturn.
