KK Wilde(formerly Kid Curry) is a Los Angeles based hard rock band and oneof the greatest bands you may never heard of from the 80’s/90’sSunset Strip. The band debuted with the record Rock N Roll came outin 1991. In the pantheon of expensive, sought-after hair-metalindies, this one ranks up towards the top thanks to catchy hooks,sing-along choruses and big backing vocals. They also made twovideos and toured the US twice. Their songs were featured on ABC’sLife Goes On and a Warner Bros. Motion Picture called Showdown InLittle Tokyo with the songs Round And Round and Boys Nite Out. Oneof the tracks on their debut, Aint No Doubt, was in high demandwhen it came to airplay. The band bought a tour bus and set up avigorous schedule of cross country shows. At the same time Kris andthe band started writing new material which would become the secondalbum, Cocaine Cowboy, which was recorded and released in 1991 tokeep the buzz going about the band. Just as things were reallyheating up, Nirvana released their album, Nevermind and Los Angelesbands were abandoned for their Seattle counterparts and the bandfell apart.
