Violent Dirge - Elapse CD

Following the highly acclaimed "Obliteration Of Soul" demo tape, released in 1991 by the small underground label Carnage Records, the band went on to record their stunning debut album, Elapse (1993). Right from the start, the album reached remarkable artistic heights, despite the band struggling to survive under extremely difficult circumstances.
The album features ambitious, carefully crafted compositions that showcased an extraordinary level of musicianship, maturity, and sophistication rarely heard at the time. Tracks such as "Enlivening Damn," "Leprous Sanctity," and the breathtaking "Oblivion" stand among the finest examples of technical death metal ever recorded.
Elapse is a technical death metal masterpiece that can confidently stand alongside genre-defining classics by Cynic, Atheist, and Death—without the slightest reason to feel inferior. Quite the opposite.
Unfortunately, the realities of post-communist Poland and the lack of financial resources for promotion meant that the album, released exclusively on cassette in 1993, remained virtually unknown outside its home country. After many years of requests from devoted fans, the band finally decided to give Elapse the release it always deserved. The album has now been reissued by Pagan Records on both LP and CD formats, making this long-overlooked classic available to a worldwide audience at last.
