Candlemassvocalist Johan Länquist has created his own solo-entity in form ofJohan Lanquist The Castle. Johan has worked together with a widerange of well-known Swedish musicians and the debut album evokesthe magic feeling of classic 70s/80s Heavy Metal/Hard Rock/Doom. Itcomes in the vein of the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath, Rainbowand Dio and with a touch of Doom added for good measure. Anyonethat knows Johan from Candlemass or his youth band Jonah Quizzknows that this man has a killer voice that he can use to set avibe. Johan Lanquist The Castle is not to be seen as a studioproject only – on the contrary a full line-up will soon take shape,and both live-shows and a second album are being worked on.
