Parallellt med vårt väl etablerade firningsdon DSD Plus har vi utvecklat dess starkare bror – DSD Pro. Till skillnad från DSD Plus är DSD Pro specifikt utformad för insats- och taktiska tillämpningar.
Precis som DSD Plus kan DSD Pro styras med en hand. Den har ett extremt starkt men ändå skonsamt grepp om repet. Glidstart vid ett 11 mm rep sker vid otroliga 10 kN, och den behåller fortfarande ett stabilt grepp på 6 kN med 9 mm rep.
Övergången mellan stopp och rörelse är något mjukare för att undvika obehagliga ryck vid start. Det är nästan överflödigt att nämna att enheten låser sig omedelbart på repet när handtaget släpps.
GENERAL INFORMATION Parallel to our well established DSD plus descender we were developed his stronger brother DSD pro. To the difference with DSD plus, DSD pro is specifically designed for intervention and tactical purposes. Just like DSD plus, DSD pro may be controlled with one hand only. It features an incredibly strong yet non-damaging grip on the rope. Start of slippage with an 11 mm rope is at unbelievable 10 kN and still retains solid 6 kN with 9 mm. The transition between stop and go is a bit smoother to avoid unpleasant jerks during the starting process. Useless to point out that once released the device blocks on the rope instantly. The downside of all this enhancements is a bit smaller range of functionality compared to DSD plus.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Extremely robust construction: two moving parts only, very high breaking loads, no exposed parts that could be easily broken.
• Extremely high braking forces (> 10 kN with 11 mm rope).
• Gentle transition from stop to go.
• Braking by pressing means more intuitive operation.
• No creep on the rope once the handle is released. You stay where you stopped.
• Single handed operation: ability to carry an arm at all times.
• Rubberised handle and side plates reduces clatter (stealthy movement).
• Possibility of installation of a quick release device for window entry.
