Rare early 20th-century Prussian Pickelhaube (spiked helmet) in leather with yellow metal fittings.
The frontplate shows a spread eagle with the motto “Mit Gott für König und Vaterland” (“With God for King and Fatherland”). In the center is a sunburst motif with eagle and the Latin motto “SUUM an CUIQUE” (“to each their own”).

The helmet has the typical spike on top (slightly crooked to one side), and is marked “No. 2” inside, likely the size. The original chinstrap is attached, can be opened and closed, and is connected and can be disconnected on both sides.

The leather shows age with patina, cracks and wear, visible in the photos.
Overall it looks and feels genuinely old. While we cannot guarantee if this is an original or a very early replica, it was clearly made a long time ago. In our opinion and experience it looks completely authentic.
