RARE Sega Multi-Mega (PAL) Console

Up for auction is a true holy grail for retro collectors: the Sega Multi-Mega (PAL).

?Released in extremely limited quantities at the tail end of the 16-bit era, the Multi-Mega combined the Sega Mega Drive and Sega Mega-CD into one compact, premium unit that could also function as a portable CD Walkman.

?The Rarity of the European Release:
While the North American version (the Genesis CDX) is already incredibly rare with only about 5,000 units ever produced, the European (PAL) Multi-Mega is considered even scarcer. Sega released this console with an astronomical price tag right as they were pivoting to the Sega 32X and Sega Saturn. Because of the high cost and poor timing, it was a massive commercial failure and production was halted almost immediately. Today, finding a surviving PAL unit in Europe, especially one that still has its proprietary original power supply is exceptionally difficult.

?Condition & Testing:
The console is in good, used cosmetic condition with standard surface wear and a few scuffs (please review all photos carefully).

?CD Drive: Tested and working perfectly. It spins up and reads discs without issue.

?Cartridge Slot: Sold as UNTESTED. I do not own any standard Mega Drive cartridges to test the top slot. Therefore, I cannot guarantee the cartridge functionality, and it is sold as-is.
?Battery Compartment: Clean and intact.
