ABOUT THE GAME / OM SPELET

Su Doku Master is a single player, mouse controlled implementation of the logic game that is published in many newspapers alongside Ka Kuro and Crosswords.

Su Doku is a logic puzzle in which the player has to put the numbers 1 - 9 into a 3x3 grid. There are nine such grids arranged in a 3x3 pattern. The same number cannot appear more than once in a single grid or in a row or column that spans all the grids. This implementation has seven themes, most use numbers but some use symbols. The numbers / symbols used in the puzzle are arranged around the grid, the exact layout depends upon the theme selected. The player clicks on a number/symbol and drags it to the cell where they want to place it.

Unlike some implementations there is no 'pencil mark' option which allows the player to consider possible placements, instead by right clicking on an empty cell the game shows the player which numbers/symbols could legally be placed there. Additionally, when a number is being dragged to a cell the empty cells it passes over will show as either red or green depending on whether placement in that cell is a legal move. Showing legal moves is an optional feature that can be disabled.

The game has three difficulty settings, a boss key, a blank grid setting so that players can work on puzzles from other sources, sound effects, a hint system, undo feature, and a user guide that opens in a new window.
