The black 2268 Steel Toe Engineer was initially designed in 1936 for the engineers working on America's railroads. The pull-on styling and minimal stitching of this collection was specifically designed to protect their feet from hot embers. In the 1950s this boot gained popularity with American motorcycle riders. Just like in the 30's, the Engineer Collection is still manufactured in the company-owned plant in Red Wing, Minnesota and finished by hand. The thicker, premium Black Chrome leather paired with the Neoprene Cords sole is a true testament to durability and style. The epitome of the biker boot.
