Although not explicitly stated in the text, this is the abridged 1925 edition following the 1911 first edition. A horror novel by Bram Stoker. It features a giant, primordial worm—disguised as Lady Arabella—terrorizing the Yorkshire countryside. The story centers on Adam Salton’s efforts to destroy the creature by finding and obliterating its lair. The novel is based on the legend of the Lambton Worm and shares several thematic parallels with Dracula (with Sir Nathaniel de Salis filling the Van Helsing role). It includes some of Stoker’s most graphic and grisly moments of horror. With a final leaf of publisher's advertisements.

Original indigo publisher’s cloth with gilt titles to upper board and spine. Binding tight. Good pages, but with foxing to the page edges and to some leaves at the beginning and end.
