Sphinx figurin

Google AI:
This object is a vintage hand-carved Egyptian Sphinx figurine, typically sculpted from natural translucent onyx or banded Egyptian alabaster.
These stone carvings feature characteristic milky white, honey, and tan bands running through the stone. They were incredibly popular mid-to-late 20th-century souvenirs handcrafted in Egypt for tourists. Depending on their size, they are commonly used as decorative ornaments, desk paperweights, or bookends. Many similar vintage variations were also drilled or hollowed out underneath to be fitted as unique Egyptian Revival table lamps.
