With their pre-election lies
All they give are promises

Smooth tounged liars
Intelluctual men
Now their power crazy
They’ll destroy us all in the end
They’re anti uk
Anarchys rising again
To rid their hellish schemes
Lets all rule ourselves
Let god save the queen

Polish pressedmusic cassette. Clear cassette with printed paper label. Thisfeatures 9 tracks from the Death Before Dishonor album with the WarNow EP cover artwork
Poland is probablythe country that had the most record labels in the world that onlyreleased cassettes. But even though there were lots of labels themarket was still small as they only printed these for their ownmarket inside of Poland. And a label in one town maybe lacked thedistribution for another town and so on. A Warzaw or Krakow labelmight print more copies of a tape then labels from a smaller town.So even if there are thousands of releases you will notice how raresome are if you start to try to list the catalog number of oneparticular label. Some cassettes just rarely shows up. One of thebigger cassettes labels were Takt Music in Warsaw and another onewas MG Records, which was a sub-label of GM Records (both used thesame logo during the early 90s). Just like Takt they started in1990 and existed up until 1994 and during those 4 years theyreleased approx 3000 tapes. Under the name of GM Records theystarted a pressing plant in Poland after these cassette years wasover.
One of the mostriveting British punk rock units of the early 1980s, the Exploitedcould have cared less about mainstream pop sensibilities andinsisted on keeping things raw and hardcore. With The Clash havingbecome more polished, The Damned and Sham 69 having gone downhilland the Sex Pistols having disbanded, The Exploited came tosymbolize U.K. punk at its roughest. After a few albums the bandheaded into the crossover genre and their fifth album, Death BeforeDishonour, shows a band that plays music that are faster, harderand thrashier then anything prior to this album. The band were fastmorphing from a simple punk rock group founded at the arse end ofScotland into a much more aggressive and nastier force. The ideathat their brand of punk rock was becoming close friends with thecrossover thrash genre may have raised a few unwilling eyebrows, but the band were still furious and wanted to unite the hardcorepunk and thrash veterans into one, rowdy crowd. They were still apolitically charged band, and the themes had only grown intobigger, and more interesting concepts. Listen to Anti UK, ScalingThe Derry Wall, Death Before Dishonour and you will hear tunes fullof emotions like hatred and anger. Tracks such as No Forgivenessand Dont Really Care shows no remorse for any human beingwhatsoever. As usual Wattie vomits each particular lyric out withsuch malevolent force it’s hard to forget moments after each songhas ended. On the vicious opener Anti UK Wattie orders the crowd to“rid their hellish screams/Lets all rule ourselves/let God save theQueen”, whereas in the similarly riotous yet much thrashier titletrack, chants of the title itself by each member of the bandgenerate a feeling of unity amongst both the band’s fan-base andthose who just want to cause absolute mayhem. It might sound likethis album has it all, yes the artwork is brilliant, but still itsnot the hightlight it could have been. Maybe its Watties choice totry to actually sing on some tracks or maybe its when the bands gointo slow Amebix worshiop on Power Struggle that it feelsinconsistent or maybe its just the fact that the band has gone frompunk to crossover that took some time to accept or just the factthat even if there are plenty of good songs we still have noclassic tune when you look back at it. Fans of early D.R.I.,Cro-Mags, Suicidal Tendencies etc know exactly the feeling when theband incorporates more metal into their music. It takes a while tofully understand. We were probably more ready when they releasedthe trash metal album The Massacre three years later.
