What is Raanu

Raanu refers to a traditional Finnish textile, typically a handwoven wall rug, blanket or tapestry. Historically, since 19th century, raanus were used as bed covers, wall hangings, or even as insulation on sleighs. These textiles are known for their vibrant Nordic colors, elaborate motifs, and high-quality craftsmanship.
