Vintage SNIKKI by FRISTADS professional tool belt system, estimated to date from approximately the 1990s–2000s.

The leather components carry the older “SNIKKI by FRISTADS” branding.

Designed as professional work equipment for carpenters, builders, electricians and other trades requiring frequently used tools and hardware to remain easily accessible.

Material :

Heavy-duty leather construction with suede / split-leather sections and smooth leather components.

Black nylon webbing belt.

Metal rivet reinforcement throughout the leather pouches, together with durable synthetic mounting hardware and buckle components.

Design :

Traditional Scandinavian tradesman’s tool-belt configuration with two substantial leather tool carriers positioned on either side of the waist.

Multiple compartments provide storage for nails, screws, hand tools and other working equipment.

Features include large open leather pouches, three smaller front compartments, narrow tool slots, a leather hammer / tool loop and additional holders.

The leather sections are heavily reinforced with metal rivets and stitching.

The pouches are mounted to the belt using Snikki’s modular attachment system, allowing the carriers to sit securely around the waist while keeping tools within easy reach.

Adjustable black webbing belt with quick-release buckle.

Used professional workwear condition with substantial signs of previous use, including dirt, staining, surface marks, patina and general wear throughout.

The leather remains in solid usable condition and retains good structure despite the cosmetic wear.

There are scattered white marks on the black synthetic components. These appear to be paint or similar work-related residue rather than mold.

The visible wear is consistent with a tool belt that has seen genuine occupational use.

History :

Snikki is a Swedish tool-belt system originally developed by carpenter Bengt Fyhr in the 1960s.

The concept was designed to allow tradespeople to carry frequently used tools and materials directly on the body rather than repeatedly returning to a toolbox.

Fristads, the historic Swedish workwear manufacturer founded in 1925, acquired an interest in Snikki in 1989 and subsequently incorporated the tool-carrying system into its professional workwear range.

Snikki became particularly known for modular tool pouches, reinforced leather construction and ergonomic carrying systems intended for professional carpenters and other trades.
