This vibrant and enchanting art-piece is from the exhibition ”The
Story of The Scars” - a visualization of the human body's profound
endurance, capturing both the raw vulnerability and striking beauty of
survival.
Over twenty years ago, cancer made its entrance into Adiba’s life.
Since then, fifteen surgeries have etched their marks across her body
and soul. For over ten years, she has navigated the reality of living
with metastatic breast cancer, a path carving stories deep within.
Yet, every scar she bears is a living embodiment of human resilience,
showing how deep we can dig to find strength just when we need it
most.
Having been friends since their student days at Mälardalen University,
renowned artist and fashion photographer Max Alm-Norell asked Adiba
how he could support her patient advocacy work. They decided to blend
Max’s signature style – where hidden narratives emerge in an explosion
of color – with Adiba’s poignant poetry to bridge the gap between pain
and understanding while raising vital funds for metastatic breast
cancer research and support through Bröstcancerförbundet in Sweden.
The art-piece is the central part of the project; additionally, there
are art-prints, a coffee table book featuring photographs of the

All proceeds go to metastatic breast cancer research and support
through Bröstcancerförbundet in Sweden.

About the Artist:
Max Alm-Norell is an acclaimed Scandinavian artist with more than 80 exhibitions internationally. His work has been shown across Europe, the United States and Asia, and is represented in both private and corporate collections.
Working across photography, painting and mixed media, he creates powerful, layered narratives about identity, memory and what it means to be human.
For The Story of the Scars, the work is also personal. Max has known Adiba for nearly thirty years. His involvement comes from a belief that art should not only be seen, but have the power to mean something, to someone.
