Datering

Rullfotens stämpel, 037200, anger enligt ABU:s dateringssystem mars 1972.

- ABU Ambassadeur 5000 C, daterad mars 1972
- Originaletui i brunt, med mässingsspänne och ABU-prägling
- Originaloljeflaska

History and model

The ABU Ambassadeur 5000 was introduced in 1952 and went on to become one of the company's best-known reel models. The ball-bearing 5000 C version was introduced during the 1960s. The reel is suitable for pike and zander fishing, as well as other medium-weight fishing in lakes and coastal waters.

Dating

According to ABU's dating system, the stamp on the reel foot, 037200, indicates March 1972. This makes it a fine example from the early 1970s.

Condition and function

The reel is in very good condition, with few visible signs of use. There are, however, a couple of minor scuff marks on the top and on the cast control knob. Please see the photos and video.

Mechanically, the reel works as it should and has a smooth, even operation, with no unusual noises or excessive play in the moving parts.
