Philips made quality equipment back then. Don't know about this exact Era but the only real downside for me when it comes to Philips of the 60s is that they engineered absolute servicing nightmares. Sound and looks wise I love my Philips gear but Its dreadful working on it. But as I said, that's a earlier Era, maybe they went different ways in the 70s. By looks and the basic info someone posted here, hell yeah I'd buy that thing.

Solid Receiver from late seventies. Phillips made quality stuff back then.

Thanks! I like the look of it quite a lot, also in stock there's a marantz SR 1010, SD 1010, for 800$. Feels like the prices here a bit high but I have absolutely no idea.

Nice find. I had a black faced 7871 @ 60wpc. Solid build, good sound iirc. Philips Laboratories made some decent stuff.

I had the (I think) next-generation AH7861 and it was a tremendous piece; it punched way above its weight class, and had a top-shelf front end. If this 683 is anything like it you will be thrilled.
