This one was recorded at the FindersPark Tennis Centre in Melbourne, Australia on the 17th of March1995 when opening act The Meanies and Pearl Jam managed to sell outthe complete 13 000 visitors arena. 1995 was the year that PearlJam got the chance to do their first tour of Southeast Asia,Australia and New Zealand, starting with three shows in Japan.Other dates included Taipei (Taiwan), Manila (Philippines),Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand) and ten shows in Australia and two inNew Zealand. This was the second night at Flinders Park, and bothnights were sold out. The previous night the band had some problemswith the security that handled the crowd roughly but the bandmanaged to get new security guards for their second show and Eddiesays, We got the guys from last night the fuck outta here. Thisshow was also broadcast on Australian radio and Eddie says; It’snot just us tonight, we’re on the radio. I just thought I’d warnyou, you know, if you, if you’re supposed to be at your friend’shouse spending the night, you weren’t allowed to come, don’t getyour voice on the radio, we don’t want you to get in trouble. Ahfuck it, get in trouble!. Later he says, Fine bunch of mutants wegot here… we’re all mutants up here, too. Theres also a full moonthis night and Eddie has taken notice of that and makes comments:It’s really too bad they couldn’t open the roof in this place cuzthere’s a fuckin full moon out there that we’re missing… so ifsomeone’s out there listening to us in their car, stick your headout the window… at home, go to the windows. Things happen in a fullmoon, good things, bad things, things happen. Eddie alsoacknowledges his wife, Beth: She’s back home, so it’s not as ifshe’s going to hear this on the radio, but it’s me and Beth’s 129month anniversary today. And I’m going to sing the first line ofthis famous New Zealand song. This is for her… I got you, andthat’s all I want. (I Got You). That’s for her. This one’s foryou…, leading to Better Man. Musically the two songs Jeremy andEven Flow are both sporting different intros and Dave Grohl fromNirvana and Foo Fighters are joining the band on stage for theencore Rockin’ In The Free World.
