MySo-Called Life is the second album by the Chicago-based nu metalmusic group From Zero. The band got great reviews for theiraggrometal debut album, One Nation Under. Whats obvious as soon asyou hear the album is that singer Jett and the boys arent so angryanymore. The band has taken in producer Warren Riker that hasworked with artists in a totally different genre (Fugees, LaurynHill). Together they have tried to broaden their sound. The albumcame out in 2003 and the the genre of Nu metal had already peakedin 2001 with Linkin Park’s diamond-selling album Hybrid Theory andthe bands record label turned their back on them and didnt careabout promoting the album. The album didnt sell anything near theirdebut and they soon found themselves without record label. Thealbum also features a metal cover version of Phil Collins, I DontCare Anymore. So if you like Nu metal or not its still worth owningthis album just for the sake of this cover.
