An original 1964 United States Roosevelt Dime, struck during the final year in which regular U.S. dimes were produced from the traditional 90% silver composition.
The obverse features the left-facing portrait of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, designed by John R. Sinnock, with LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and the date 1964. The reverse depicts a central torch symbolizing liberty, flanked by an olive branch representing peace and an oak branch representing strength and independence. The inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and ONE DIME surround the design.

The coin presents in attractive circulated condition, retaining strong overall detail in Roosevelt's portrait, lettering and reverse design. Light circulation wear and surface marks are visible, together with some natural toning, particularly around portions of the perimeter.
The 1964 Roosevelt Dime is particularly popular as the last regular-issue U.S. dime struck in 90% silver before the United States transitioned to copper-nickel clad dimes beginning in 1965. It is consequently collected both as a historic American coin and for its intrinsic silver content.
