Deus Inversus is a split album between Black Altar from Polandand Kirkebrann from Norway. The album includes 7 compositions, allnew and exclusive to this release. Black Altar have been releasingmusic since 1998 and for their half of this split they have suchesteemed musicians as Lars Broddesson (Funeral Mist, ex-Marduk),Mauser (ex-Vader), and Alexandros (Macabre Omen) all led by BlackAltar’s founder Shadow Their tracks consist of two multi-facetedbut relentlessly exhilarating songs, and an outro that dramaticallychanges the mood. Kirkebrann’s assembled discography is morelimited than Black Altar‘s and their side consists of three maintracks and an outro of their own — which proves to be markedlydifferent but just as attention-seizing in its own way as the songsthat precede it. All in all 7 orthodox black metal songs but stillwith a huge differences between Kirkebrann’s style and that ofBlack Altar. And its the differences between them that makes thisspslit so entertaining and worth having.
